RCB was pleased to host Dr. Sylviane Pied, Attaché for Scientific Cooperation, and Dr. Meenakshi Singh, Scientific Coordinator, FII, from the Embassy of France, New Delhi. The discussions focused on exploring new avenues for research collaboration, followed by facility visits across key centres at RCB.
For over thirty years, the theophylline riboswitch has served as a cornerstone of synthetic biology, providing scientists with a programmable mechanism to turn genes ON and OFF using a chemical inducer. However, despite its widespread applications, the system has been limited by relatively moderate performance of its ligand inducers.
