The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) regularly hosts visits for school and college students,offering a first-hand glimpse into life at a leading research institute. These guided tours allow students to explore state-of-the-art facilities, interact with scientists and research scholars, and participate in hands-on experiments and activities that make science engaging and accessible.Through these initiatives, RCB seeks to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of contemporary research in biotechnology.
RCB also serves as a knowledge partner for the Vigyan Jyoti programme of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, which aims to encourage meritorious girls to pursue education and careers in underrepresented areas of STEM. As a knowledge partner, RCB hosts Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya girls (Standards IX–XII), providing them with exposure to cutting-edge research conducted at the institute
As part of its broader outreach efforts, RCB hosts students from a wide range of schools and universities—including GD Goenka, KR Mangalam University, DAV Public School, NIIT University,GVM Girls College, DPS, and Noida International University—providing them with meaningful exposure to advanced research, modern laboratory practices and academic opportunities/programmes at RCB.
